I have a riders backrest on my 07 SG, it is adjusted all the way down, and still pokes up too
dog gone high, the bike has a stock StreetGlide seat, whith is lower that a Eglide cushon seat.
Has anyone done any modification on this backrest??
When I was looking for one I wanted the lowest on I cound find..
Really just wanted a butt stop to keep me from sliding back,
The thing looks hokey without the tourpac..
I have the same backrest but it sits lower than that. I think there are three positions. Squeeze the two rods together as hard as you can and see if it goes down another notch.
The only thing on the seat is a screw that adjust forward and backwards..
I adjusted it to where it's all the way back, but had to tweak it back a bit
farther.. but it still hits me too high..
I went to look and can't find a button, the lower adjustments and all the way down..
I wonder if you can remove the upholstering to see the frame and modify it?
so when does it lookhokey? when you're sittin around looking at it or when you're out riding it? if it's the first, quit sittin andjust keep riding. lol

I had to bend the two metal rods back a couple of degrees. Put it in a vise and put a pipe wrench on the rod and thighten the jaws as much as you can and then push down. Don't try turning the rod with the wrench. I said push down. It took three or four tries to get it right.
Hint; if you don't want your back rest stolen, put a small block of wood between the rods so you can't squish them together. Put a string on the block so you can pull it out.
