Default poly riser bushing question

hi all,

i am going to be swapping out the stock bars with WO575s. i have all the parts I will need, minus the poly bushings. since i am only going to a 10" bar, are these necessary? i tried the search feature but didnt come up with too much. thanks for the help

the one piece top clamp in a must, the stock rubber wil work but...they are a pain to change later, and u will want to, they are to soft for the added leverage u get with the longer wider bars.

I ran the 575's for 3years with the stock bushings with no problems at all. just installed 577's with the poly bushings and had machine the risers down .125 due to the extra height of the poly bushings. The top of the bars will hit the fairing and the switch cover will not fit right. Good luck!

You can use the stock rubber without a problem, but if you upgrade to poly, there is a huge difference. At least in 14 inch apes. Much firmer feel.

I switched mine over to poly when I put the new bars on. IMO, I think it is a good idea.

I have the Goodentite. I replaced my stock ones at 64k due to my handle bars moving forward and backward about 3 inches at the grips. I like them, good firm feel without the shake of solid bushings. If you press them in properly, you won't have any clearance issues. Use a nut and washer on your bolt to press em 1st, then assemble everything as it was taken off.
