The dealer's mechanic told me that the fish tails would have restrictive airflow. I thought aboutputting them on my 07 Ultra that I'm due to pick up any day.
BaggerSam is correct. They are restrictive but should be OK on a stock engine. One of our group had his bike dyno tuned at Sturgis and that was the problem. He was modified to stage I and the engine could not exhale. The pipes were changed and other adjustments made and he gained 19 Hp from his base with the fishtails.
I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here, but I'd talk to a tuner before you make a decision.
