It just depends on your taste. Some go with the bikes color, and some llke me go with gloss black. I have the Merlot/Cherry paint combo on my Ltd and I simply did not want either of those colors on my inner faring. I just thought it would be too much of a good thing.
Some of the sedona orange bike owners are getting their farings painted the same color. Man, that's a lot of orange and you have to like it a lot for it not to get old quickly.
If you are getting it custom painted, something cool to consider is painting the gauge holes one color, and feather it out to another color. For instance, you could paint your gauge holes the cherry color, then feather that out to gloss black. That would look killer. Good luck and enjoy your painted inner. No matter what color choice you end up making, it will look one million times better than the stock, flat black dull looking, primer-looking inner faring finish.
