Another WTF
The problem with changing mechanics, you can't get back what you paid for on the last "repair"... don't change location or dealer, go back and give them hell and get a 100% refund on what youpaid already.
2hrs labor for plugs? I am familiar with Uke's.....never service work though.....The problem is they all have "kids" working on these things....there's no "experience"....Harley school is a joke!! They teach basic trouble shooting and that's about it.....Get your money back and run! Milwaukee area has to have a pile of indy's around...
Not to be an ******* to you, but I think you should have addressed the issue right away when they were telling you that you had the wrong plugs for a 96" engine. You had the opportunity to at least make mention of a problem while you were still there before the bike left, and you dropped the ball. I agree that they should still credit you the two hours of labor towards whatever is really wrong though.
What did they say about the warranty?
Obviously the tech had poor diagnostic skills if "Dave" could diagnose the problem over the phone.
I would kindly ask them to apply the previously charged labor to the starter fix.
Oh wait, the starter should be covered under warranty right?
Refund!
OP, I'd have probably mentioned the motor mistake (96, 103) as soon as the guy said it. Regardless, when you take it back in, I'd just calmly explain what you're proposing -1st service for no charge. Any reasonable shop would/should accept that. Matter of fact, before I had a chance to say anything, my dealer told me that's how it would be for me, when I took mine in for a turn signal problem that wasn't fixed right the first time.
Other than that, I guess the old rule applies: Just don't be a dick about it. Although, you sound like a pretty calm guy anyway so, I doubt that will be an issue.
Good luck!
drop off the bike this .morning ,starter will be replace, + the clutch hub is damages ,will also be replace , no parts available so bike will be there till next week .plugs are the right one for 103,i cant get my money back . from my 1st visit . so i guess i will never spend money on Puke's harley Davidson in Kenosha .after this one. . so guys be aware of what you trying to get fix on this place. im very ,very disappointed . After buying $23k + 20k+ upgrade on this bike . this could be my last Ultra. Thanks. for reading
So it took them 2 hours to come with "it's the plugs"!

Why would he do that when they just charged him 2 hrs labor and all they ended up doing was changing plugs. Go someplace else. Why they didnt start with the simple **** first and go from there is beyond me???
The op didnt realize they were the same plug he had been using all along until he got home
