I tried to replace my tail/brake bulb with 1157 red LEDs on my 2010 street glide, but none of the LED bulbs seem to fit correctly into the socket... The bulb hits the reflector before its inserted all the way in. It's not tapered enough like a regular bulb...

Do any of you know where I can get the ones that would work??

 

I don't think there are many "bulb" type LEDs that will work well because their bases aren't long enough. Poke around here: Autolumination.com, perhaps they have something that might work. I used some of their products on my old Boulevard M50 with success, but I had to go through some trial and error getting something with a base deep enough for even the 'Zuki signals.

I personally use the Custom Dynamics LED Clusters all around on my bike (red rears; 1157 base) and amber fronts. They work awesome, but will cost you more than some of the items on Autolumination's site.

Oh, and you may want to edit your post title; you typed "1156" instead of "1157".

 

Also look at the Jam Strait bulbs.
