Default Weird Shifting Issue?

The other night I was downshifting into 1st and went straight to neutral. Maybe it's a stupid question but is that odd? I was always under the impression that the only way to neutral is UP from 1st not DOWN from 2nd? Do I have an issue with the tranny?

Fyi, I recently changed my tranny and primary oil to Redline if that matters? I could have screwed something up but don't think so. It's a pretty simple process. Bikes a '10 Street Glide.

You can go to neutral from either gear.

I shift into 1st only from a complete stop....if I'm rolling thru a turn....never need to go below 2nd.

I find if rpm are little high, when I lose track of gear thinking I'm in 3rd when in 2nd, it will pop into neutral instead of going into first.

It usually works the other way for me. I'll short shift on the way up and go from 1st to neutral.

That'll wake you up as you crack the throttle!

Buy a lottery ticket! You hit neutral without trying!

Actually, if ya hit it hard enough, you'll shift it all the way back around to 5th gear.
J/K, but if you want to see what's going on in there, you can lift the top off your tranny and see the shift roller and how the shift forks follow the dogs as you shift it through the gears. Don't run the motor while you're doing this though.
