Default What PCV map - stock setup

I know everyone will want to jump in with feedback about upgrading the exhaust system and air intake, so let me start by saying that is already my plan. However, I can’t afford to do it all at once so I am doing it in steps. First step is to get the PCV installed and run the stock setup a little richer (and hopefully cooler). Then I’ll work on upgrading the rest as the cash flow allows.

So, my question is which map to use with the PCV on the stock setup. I have gone to the DynoJet website and reviewed all the maps they have available and it seems that there are two candidates (I have a 2012 Limited):

15-011-057 103" model Stock exhaust Stock air filter
15-011-033 Electra Glide Ultra Limited, 103" engine, Stock exhaust, Stock air filter, Table 1 is front cylinder

I haven’t opened them up to review the differences but was wondering if any one has experimented with these two on a stock setup and/or can share your experiences with either of them.

Thanks in advance, and take it easy on me, long time rider but new to Harley’s and the forum.

Buy the PCV from Fuel Moto and have then install their map for a stock '12 Limited, which was originally created from a dyno tune on a bike like yours. When you do more upgrades they can provide free map upgrades each step of the way as long as they are not too far out of the mainstream.

Good answer, couldn't have said it better myself.

Although Fuel Moto has "Unbeatable" prices they wouldn't price match. So I have one on the way, due to arrive tomorrow, at $33 less than they were willing to do. I am more than capable of programming it myself.

33 bucks for their service including free updates is money you should have spent. But its your money and choice. Their map would have already saved you and wait until you can't find maps matching your mods. Good luck.

Money I should had spent. Don't agree, at least not for me. My Money, my choice. That I agree with. I have been running power commanders for years on other bikes. Plenty of maps out there, plenty of people willing to share their maps, and I like to play and tweak my maps to I get it the way I want. So I'll keep my $ and continue to do my own programming and tweaking.

My question is still out there, anyone have any experience with either of the two maps I put in the fist post. Simple looking feedback from others that have used, or tried them, if anyone has.

I agree......

This would give you access to both FuelMoto and DynoJet for assistance.

I bought my PV-1 from FuelMoto and used one of their tunes for my 2012 FLHTK w/mods. It was spot-on and the bike runs great!

I got an extra license on the PV-1 for my 2003 FLSTCI. Jaime didn't have a tune for my combination of mods on that bike. He referred me to the Tech assistance at DynoJet and they generated a new tune based on my mods and the current tune (an HD download). It was spot-on and that bike runs great!

The customer service from both companies have my bikes running like different (much better) bikes and more than justified the money I spent...

EDIT: I was typing this when you responded above. Agreed, it's your choice and you seem the have the experience, unlike me, to manage the tunes on your own.

Sorry that I have no experience with the tunes you mentioned....

Either one should be a good starting point since you know what you are doing. Just tweak away.
