Default Fuel Sensor

Diesel gas was accidentally put into my tank from a poorly marked fuel pump, and when I siphoned out the gas, I must have hit something in the tank so my fuel guage won't register and shows low fuel light. The bike is a 08 Road Glide with the 96ci motor. Any suggestions if there is a way to reset or remove and replace Thanks

What the hell is diesel gas? Diesel nozzles are larger than the unleaded regular gas nozzles and I doubt they could be stuck into the tank hole...but stranger things have happened I guess.

Had this happen to a guy on a road trip through the US. Happened late in the day we were all tired, just glad he noticed before starting the bike. Had to drain the tank and then try to figure out what to do with 5 gallons of diesel fuel. Not sure what to suggest for the gas gauge other than pull it out and see if you can see any physical damage.

Back in the 80s was coming home from a run and with a group of buddies. One put diesel in his tank w/o knowing it. Since the plugs were hot the bike started and ran the 50 miles back home. No one could figure out what all the black smoke was. Thought he blew a ring, but he wasn't using any oil. The next day he went to fire it up and of course it wouldn't start. It wasn't until it got to the shop that the wrench figured it out.
