Does anyone know of a better setup or am I right on the money? I'm about to take my bike in for it's 1k service. When I bought it the dealership was telling me that they had to do the work for everything to be warrantied. Is this everyone else's experience? I've also heard on here that if there is an issue they have to be able to prove that it was because they didn't do the mods themselves. Mechanically, I'm pretty sure I can do everything myself, would you guys do them yourselves or get robbed by the dealership and have them do it?
Great choice! That was exactly my stage 1 setup and I loved it. Took it a step farther with CycleRama 575 cams. Indie was pushing S&S cams but I went with CRs. It has a low rumble, tons of torque, and wakes the dead when I get on it. BTW, I have the Q baffle on my FatCat...not too quiet after 5k miles plus the cams.

Do the stage 1 yourself. Make sure you get a 2009 model FatCat so it has 18mm O2 sensor bungs (req'd for Tmax). I took my time and spent about 3 hours on my install.

I have the D&D and t-max on my 2012 ultra. I did the install myself and did my 1000 mile service myself. As far as the service I checked off everything as I did it and signed the owners manual as "self" instead of technicians name. They can't void your warranty for doing your own service work. Just make sure it's well documented and do everything your supposed to. If you have a good honest dealer non of this should be a problem unless its odious you jacked it up some how.

Love mine
Installation was easy, just take your time.
As stated before, make sure that whatever pipes you decide on, they have the larger 02 bungs (18mm).
The autotune function is great in that every time you decide to add something, just down load the closest map and let it do its thing.
The help section of the software is another handy tool.

I've used TMax with Autotune in two of my bikes and will do it in my next. I've been very pleased.

Have it on all my bikes. Worth the money in my opinion.

I liked the concept so well that I put 07 headers on my 06 so I would have the bungs. I think mine is great and the cost is offset by not needing to get a dyno tune everytime you change something.

Great buy, you couldn't go wrong with the TMax and as as said you don't need to find and pay a good tuner to get it right!

Made mine into a totally different bike. Smoother power by a long shot. If you have any questions at all about it I would call Fuel Moto, that's where I got mine. Mine was already mapped for me from them. They had it DEAD NUTS. Well worth the money. Cheaper from them, and all you have to do is install as per instructions and initialize the unit. That's it

I had one. It's okay. Not the only the choice out there. Shop around. You must also consider what you are planning in the future? Good Luck.
