I have a 2005 Roadking (Carberuted). Today everything was fine going to my local bar. Arrived at the bar, and then when leaving several hours later I turned the **** and the speedometer didn't light up. I then had a very hard time starting, finally got it started and then rode...the speedometer wasn't working at all....Rode about 10-15 miles and then about a mile from my house it cut off....I then had a very very hard time starting it, (had to wait a while), got it started and then rode....right when I pulled into my drive way it cut off again.....

Anyone have any idea? Could it be the battery?

 

Time to look for dirty or loose wires starting at your battery. it could be as simple as a bad ground. Test your voltage with the bike off. You should be above 12 volts resting & 13.8 or better with it running.

Checked the wires....everything was good....had it towed to harley, service tech said it is possibly the turn signal module or something like that (Forgot what he said), but said it could effect a whole bunch of things....sound like it could be the problem?
