driver adjustable backrest installation

Anybody have a better idea of a mod for an alternate place to mount the cable pull switch for an HD adjustable backrest on a 2011 street glide where it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb?

Mine is tucked behind those side heat sheilds. Otherwise I agree they look stupid as hell.
