Default Blinker Malfunction

So I was out on a ride and noticed that my left blinker would turn on and off speradiacilly. I have actually had a few things done recently so I'm not sure where to start. I have recently moved from TN where i had new handle bars installed to FL. I didn't have the time to really go ride before I left so I'm not sure if it has something to do with the install. Once in FL I installed a new radio and one that was finished I realized the blinker issue. Was planning on removing the faring and making sure everything is hooked up and no wires are pinched after that I'm lost. If anyone has any ideas please post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you remove the fairing, you might want to open the housing on the left handlebar and recheck the wiring in there.

On my new 2012, seems I had the same issue. I took the front turn lens off and removed the lamp. It was not installed properly. Sometimes the contact point on the lamp was touching both contact points in the lamp housing. I re-installed the lamp, being careful to turn it all the way. That was 4 months ago, so far, so good.

Ok checked the wires in the housing and everything seemed fine. Also checked all bulbs and reapplied bulb grease just to cover myself. With both items checked I turned the bike on and once again experianced the problem. The fairing has now been removed and everything seems to be fine. My next step is to call the dealer that installed my bars and see if he spliced the wires to add more for the bars. If he did I guess I'll be pulling the wires out to check them. Thankfully its the left side so it shouldn't be to hard to run the wires after pulling them.

If anyone else has an idea please drop me a message. I'm getting tired of this problem but dont have the funds to take it to the dealer to fix it. Money is a tad bit tight after the move and still no job.

So I spent the better part of my day trying to figure it out to no avail. So before they closed for the day I rode it to the local dealership to get it fixed. I sure hope they have better luck then me.
