Has anyone had to return (exchange)the pager that works with the smart siren 2?
I have read on the V-Twin forums that a few people had to this because the pager would not encode to the siren.
I want to order the system from Zanotti but dont want to have to hassle shipping back a pager if this is a common problem.I would rather buy it local if it is a problem but no discount.
What do you guys/gals think?
I bought one and had to return it. The antenna broke off. I bought it from Chicago HD at a discount. They weren't receptive about taking it back because it was an electrical item and there are no returns on electrical items. I argued that the the package it came in was not sealed and therefore I thought it was used. They made good on it. When I got the replacement, it was sealed and it confirmed my suspicion about the one I returned. The sealed unit was packed differently than the opened one I got. It pays to complain.
I am interested in the smart siren and pager as well, Who is better to order with, Zanotti or Chicago Harley? Tried web site for Chicago and had a hard time locating the smart alarm on that web site.

The prices are about the same but what I found was that only the siren can be ordered online from chicago..Chicagos web site says that the pager is an instore purchase only just like Santa Cruz Harley.
I think I will pay the extra $ and get the system from a local stealer incase there is a problem.
At least it would be easier to return.
