I am wondering if anyone else hears this?
Sometimes when the bike is started either cold or warm after she sits for a bit I hear a ticking which sounds like it comes from the front cylinder rocker box but on the left side of the bike.
The ticking isn't as bad after it warms up.
Today after it ran for a minute and I pulled away the sound was a little bit aof a racket then immediately went away when I let off on the throttle and gave it gas again.
Do the hydraulic lifters bleed down like on cars?

Had a conversation on this with a dealer . They say its normal for the lifters to bleed down." I say bull " The rocker box sound is normal on the twin cam motors. So the dealer say's. What's odd is I had 110 that was quiet as a church mouse.

 

The reed valves in the rockerboxes for the crankcase breather can be noisy. This may be what you are hearing.
