I have a 2010 Streetglide I bought at the beginning of the spring used with 3,000miles. It didn't come with any kind of FOB. Never thought much about the security system but notice the red key stays lit for a few seconds when I start it. The manual talks about that meaning it's disengaged and doesn't say (if equipped). Were security systems optional in 2010 and if so how would I tell if I have one?

If you have security and don't have the fob within 5 to 10 feet of the bike it wont start...so I pretty sure you don't have security

 

Does the bike have ABS? The options package bundled ABS with security, I believe.

 

No ABS and the bike always starts fine so I guess I don't have it. Thanks guys!

 

No security system on my 2010 FLHTCU, the red key light does the same thing on mine when I start it. Still not sure why that bike didn't come with it but my wife's Sporty Super Low did.

I have an '09 FLHX and have ABS with no security. Not sure if/when it went to a group package.

 

You could get the security without the ABS. Installed at Factory or dealer.
But the ABS didn't come without Security. ABS is Factory Only.
