Leather protection?
The saddlebags are leather but chances are the seat is not..Saddle bags pretty much dont let them dry out,leather conditioner any name brand will work,if you are looking to water proof leather look for something with a high content of beeswax..
Leather cleaner and mink oil. Kept my RK Custom bags looking like new, even after 100k miles.
I use the same on boots, jackets etc.

Seat is leather have had it redone.I got some of that Harley stuff for My jacket the other day,have'nt tried it yet though.Never thought about mink oil for the bags.Beeswax would be good on them bags to

I've used Lexol on all my leather for a very long time. It worked really well on the saddle bags on my '02 RKC.
The other product you might try is "Leather in a Bottle" Z-10 from Zaino. It has an SPF rating to it. I've used this product with good success as well. Makes your leather look good and smell good.
I've also used black shoe polish on my black leather bags to get out small scuffs. I wouldn't use it on my seat...just sayin'
