Default CFR Performance

I have a stock 2011 road glide that I am going to do a stage 1 with a Power Vision. I really like the sound and looks of the CFR but after talking to a few shops I am a little concerned there may be a sacrifice in power with the CFR's being so open. Another concern relates reported difficulty in tuning. I plan on going with power duals. Are these valid concerns? My other choice would most likely be 4 inch Rineharts with the power duals. Can I expect better performance with the Rineharts?

Talk to Cary Fass. He supposedly redesigned the baffling a while ago to perform and tune better. If you are getting a PV, you will be able to "auto tune" so you won't be spending too much more money on a dyno. Be sure to consider Fuel Moto because they will give you life time support on your PV.

I just went from the Rineharts (4inch) with the VH Dresser duals to the CFR's on my 2012 Limited. Actually I gained HP and TQ with a good tune. I haven't noticed any loss of power and the CFR sound is Unreal and I had a Thunderheader on my previous Ultra..

I recently added the cfr KNOCKOFFS...have a jackpot header and a FM microtuner....I noticed a little loss in torque wth them on..have NOT had a dyno tune, (cant afford it yet). sound is amazing....QUESTION- to those with the knockoffs who then went with the real deal....did the torque return? any perf difference?
