Default Trade Question

I have an 04 Electraglide Standard, but fell in love with the new Roadking Classic after i rode one this weekend. I have several friends who have roadking standards and they all think i will be miserable after i got rid of the electraglide. What is everyone's opinion?

Also thinking about a Electraglide Classic, would it be chaeper to go ahead and chrome out my standard or just trade.

I think you will be happier with your standard or a classic. Trading is always painful. You can always add some chrome, a radio and tourpak and turn your bike into a classic.

Dealers are gonna give you wholesale for your bike and charge you msrp plus a little kicker for their bike. I would consider selling your bike on ebay or however you want to get the money you want.

Your EG standard is not much different than the others you mention except for the things that can be added on to make the difference. Being an 04, if you've had no problems and the mileage is probably low, I would say to add what you want in a bike to your existing bike and make it want you want. Just my .02

Good advice above, trading sucks, always try to sell outright, buy outright.

I went from at '95 Roadking to an EG Classic, and would not go back.

Since you have an '04 Standard, just make it more like a Classic if that's what you want. Just take a look at what Mac(Pilot1996) has done to his. By the time you take a beating on the trade, and pay the extra for a Classic, you could do a lot of cool stuff to your Standard.

Just an opinion.

Regards,

Bill
