I am stalled the Harley Davidson LED headlamp last weekend in my Ultra Classic ,for those of you wondering yes it is most definitely worth the money .my question however is has anyone installed the LED passing lamps ,I'd like to know how difficult it is to install them do I need that special tooland approximately how long does it take ? thanks in advance for any help
I installed the passing lamps along with the headlight. Very simple operation. They plug right in,hardest part was lining them up to be level while the bike was leaning on the jiffy stand. Love these lights, you will too.
I just ordered the LED Passing lamps and will keep the stock headlight. How will that work out for me? Will that be a good combo, or will I be unhappy and end up buying the LED head light?
Thanks in advance.

Did it on my sons bike, piece of cake. Since he was there, it was easy to align because one of us was holding the bike up straight.

Probably the passing lights will be brighter than the stock head light and you'll probably want the LED headlight after seeing the difference.

You'll be unhappy. You'll notice the different color of the lights(yellowish vs pure white) and you'll end up buying the LED h-light and you'll be happy again!
I did the LED passing lamps before the headlight, one of my stock passing lamps burned out. It was very difficult to even see where the stock headlight was once I had the LED passing lamps installed. Later on I put on the LED headlight too, very happy with the performance of these lights.

They do plug right in. But then you will have to align them. You will need to get special socket to get at the nut that holds them. I just bought a cheap deep socket and used a Dremel to cut out a section to accomodate the power wire. I think there might also be a O2 sensor socket that might fit. Not sure on that though. All in all it took about two hours to install and do the alignment. As some have said the hardest part is to keep the bike vertical to do the alignment.
I did not install mine. I ordered them at the time I purchased the bike, but I did get both headlight and passing lights. They are fantastic, but make sure you have them set up for the passing light to stay on when in high beam. The high beam alone seemed weak compared to the low beam with passing lights.
