I painted a jeep 12 years ago, and the parts store who mixed my paint was able to mix exactly what I wanted by scanning a painted piece of my 96 chevy truck I took in. I would suspect in 12 years the accuracy is much better, all though I was happy back then.

Harley paint colors are kinda exclusive. I work at an auto parts store and we mix Duponts Nason brand.
I am currently trying to match Pewter Pearl for 07 EGC.
If I get a good color match I will post the formula.
If you go to a Cmax (Napa paint and body supplier) they can mix you paint but it will be pricy.

I ran into the same crap here in b.c .. no more solvent based paints, I got a local shop to mix me some ppg from old stock and the match was perfect!...funny thing is the hobbiest can still get some solvent based paints but it can't legally be used comercialy..but guess what the clear coat is that the shops are using??..yup solvent based clear..only in canada:-(
