Default It aint the dragon but....

I love reading about some of the great rides you guys get out on so I thought I would throw out one of the better rides we have here in British Columbia Canada. Its the ride from Pemberton to lillooet on hiway #99 (the Duffy lake road) Its 60 miles of tight curves, hairpin switch backs, and great scenery. A couple of youtube videos that really dont do it justice:

Great scenery!!! I actually prefer those long, sweeping roads as compared to turn on top of turn roads like Trail of the Dragon. Those roads in the video look ready for re-paving!!

WOW that looks like an amazing ride!....I've rode the Dragon about 10 times this year, only live about 70 miles away from it, and I've taken several groups riding there this summer, it never gets old!...If I'm ever up that way I would love to take that route, it looks like some of those curves will keep you on your toe's, love roads like that! Thanks for the videos!!

Good post. I noticed that it appeared that gasoline(petrol) was less than $2/gallon. I say this because when I was in Vancouver, I was amazed at how cheap fuel was until I realized the error of my ways.

Its Canada, not England, no one calls it Petrol, eh
Right now it is 1.22 litre which is about 4.60 a US gallon

Looked like a really nice ride. Appeared some other bikers thought so too.
For someone not familiar with riding in Canada, in terms of weather, what month is best for riding up there?

It's a great route for sure but half of it is quite rough. I used to go to that small town twice a week by train. (10 hrs) one way from Vancouver but 4 and a bit by bike. Temps up there can be between 90 and 100 F in the summer.

+1 I like the long sweepers...I've ridden the Dragon twice, 2-up on my 2010 SG and "ripped it up" with a bunch of guys on my Ducati. IMO the Dragon is one of those things that a person can take of their bucket list. With that said, in that same Smokey Mtn area is some of the most amazing scenic roads I've ever been on.

Looks like a very fun road to ride that's for sure.

Also, nice video. Not your first "roadie" there either.

Seems like you been there more than once!

Thanks for sharing.

Ride Safe,

YELLOWBIRD
