Default Mustache Engine Guard

Hello,

Curious what everyone [who has one ] thinks?

Comfortable? Why or Why not?

I'm going to get one I think, and am also curious if the flat spot on the diagonal is straight long enough to mount my fog lights before the tube transitions to another bend?

Did I mention I dislike winter and everything it stands for?

I had one on my fatboy for a short time, did not like it. Could not use the foot position on top, had to use highway pegs anyway, cant use hard lowers.

I have seen them on a couple SG in my area and I feel the same way as on my fatboy, if you want a more cut down look check out the Lindby Bar or the BRCustom meat hanger or Hill Country bars

I have a Lindby Multibar. I think it is much better looking than stock, but doesn't seem to be as strong as the stock bar. For me the foot rests aren't really useable. They are too close together, and my right heel hits the brake pedal.

I personally don't like them.

They usually have poor foot positioning, and they just don't look good to me.

I prefer the standard style crash bar. JMHO.

My fatboy had one on it at the time of purchase. I found the rubber mounts to be in poor positioning for "highway peg" usage. I do like the look of the "sharped" edged ones, that kinda resemble the HD symbol, more than the "rounded" edged style, not sure if they have the same issue.

Thanks guys for your opinions. Maybe I'll stick with the stock one then...

It is replaced with the rebuild. So I figured upgrade upgrade

It's a sickness

no cure...

I just picked one up. I like the way it looks compared to the stock bar.

Default Iput one on my Street glide

I put one on my 2012 Flhx and love the look. The foot rests are unusable for me, but I think it looks way better than stock. If you want to add lowers then you have to switch back. Just my .02

My 2010 FLHXSE had one stock. I had to replace it with a regular one when I did my Road Glide conversion though.

IMHO, it doesn't look good. The rubber pads are at an awkward location to put your feet on, unless you rest your feet on them, and not use them like pegs. At that point, your pants are blowing in the wind and beating the snot out of the paint on the sides of your tank cause your legs are closed to fit on the bars, and not relaxed like on highway pegs.

Also, if you add a heavy breather, there is no using the right side anymore...

Now that I have the regular bar on, I can't believe how much better it looks.
