I forgot to change mine when I did my bars and realized the bars moved around too much. I went back and changed them a week later. No difference in vibrations but huge different in bar movement. They moved before....now they dont.
Switched the bars on my Ultra to a set of HCC 12" apes and also swapped the stock riser bushing to poly bushings. Definitely worth the $10-15 bucks or so I spent for them on ebay. The vibration is noticeably less than the stock bars and stock bushings.
Someone asked this same question not that long ago. when I changed my bars I personally left in the stock bushings to feel play. They could move 1 to 2 inches front to back. Than I put in the poly bushings and had no play. This is were I got mine. $20 after shipping, but I don't have a stealer any where near me. IMO a must. http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000866
always one odd ball.i put them on my rk and the bars don't move much at all.but the vibration was too much for me so i put the stock ones back on.just me though.
I changed my bushings when I changed the bars. Read enough posts about changing them. Again the bars feel real solid.
I also changed mine when I did my bars. Chubby WO 575's. Love the solid feel of the poly bushings even my buddies with stock bars comment on how great it feels with the bars not moving so much especially when you go over bumps.
