There is NO possible way anyone on here can compare insurance companies unless you live in the SAME zipcode, have the SAME fico score and have the SAME driving record.

Believe it or not the two biggest factors in your insurance are your FICO score and your ZIP CODE... your driving record is not as a big of part as you think.

Kind of sad but true. I register my bike in az and insure it here as it is half price then in Vegas. Now my truck I insure in Vegas at a rental address as it is half the price as my home address in another zip less then TWO blocks away..... Wierd but thats how the ball rolls.....

How much do you think your agent would charge you if he knew you were a Bears fan living in Vegas ? [sm=lol.gif]How bout them Bears anyway[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Apparenlty you don't spend much time in vegas.... half the people here came from Chicago... the other half came from California........ So chances are my insurance agent... is a Bears fan

I think the Bears are great... I wish we oculd convince someone that offense is just as important as defense.... but that wont happen.

Very valid point, It has to do with the crime rate in your area, and here's a shocker, your education.. If you have a degree, it's cheaper... Driving record is minimal unless you get a ticket
while under policy..

Man...
I paid $1826 for one year through Progressive (cheapest by far I could find). Covers three vehicles:
1) HD 07 FLHRC ($500 Deductable, No uninsured motorist, no medical, + 5k accessories)
2) 06 Yamaha Dirt Bike (450cc, strictly off-road)
3) 06 Can-Am Quad (800cc, strictly off road)

I think the big kicker was that they considered me a "new" rider as I only had the MC endorsement when I bought the HD in Aug, 06.
Took the CHP Rider Course (needed to get the MC license endorsement if you don't want to go take the practical test)
No tickets, no accidents, clean credit, 38yo, sole rider, security system, garage kept, recreational riding.

I'll definetly be shopping around in Aug when insurance is due.

Funny--It was also cheaper adding the two dirt-bikes to the insurance than having the HD alone (dropped the price by about $100 due to multiple vehicle coverage--go figure).

Try Geico and Progressive. Seem to be a couple of the best (cheapest) without having to transfer all your other insurance to get a good rate.

I just got a notice to re-up with Progressive insurance. $557 for a full year, here's the outline:
[ul][*]Bodily injury liability $50K/100K[*]Property liability $25K[*]Underinsured motorist $50k/100k[*]Underinsured property damage $25K[*]Comp $500 Deduct[*]Collision $500[*]Custom parts/equipment $1K[*]Minimal additional "Freebees"[/ul]
06' Road King Custom, married, own house, 36 YO, living in the peoples republic of Washington.

I thought I was getting the shaft until Geico said it was going to be $1350 for the same coverage.

I think I have the cheapest rates......$157 CDN per month, which works out to about $20 USD!

....OK, just kidding.
I probably pay the most out of all of you, but my coverage appears to be far superior for the most part......which I guess goes part of the way to explain the diff.

As a rule, we get ripped off up here 'cause we have to pay for all the 'imports' who can't drive that are crashing into each other.
