my insurance went up to 1200 for just my 07 ultra and was 800....its thru progressive...anywhere cheaper....i have a clean driving record also.no claims.
I pay $330 per year for full coverage with $500 deductible with Farmers Insurance on a bike that is valued at around $12k. I also have my condo, car and jewelry with Farmers as well. It's not always cheaper to have all your insurance at once place, but in this case it was.
Wow that's high. I pay $173 a year through Farmer's. I've got a mid-level package as far as the various coverage optiions are concern and a $500 deductible. I checked around and it was anywhere from $400 to $800 a year from other companies (Progressive was one of the highest). I also have a clean record. I think area of the country plays into the premiums, I'm in Wyoming.
08 ultra with highest options for uninsured motorist and other coverage cost me 624.00 a year thru Geiko. I switched from progressive for same reason, after they uped my rates for no reason.
Call around and get quotes. Insurance can vary widely by location even in the same state. Make sure you get an apples to apples comparison of what you currently have when they offer you a quote. By that, I mean make sure your "quote" reflects the same coverages and deductible you have.
Insurance rates will differ not only from State to State but cities within the State.
For example if you live/garage your vehicle in NYC NY versus Albany NY there is a hugh difference in premium. Other factors are deductibles and liability limits (and of course your driving record accidents/ moving violations etc )as well as purchase price of your vehicle and theft statistics of that vehicle. So no onecan say what is the basic rate! I am a licensed Ins broker in NY State and will be glad to quote insurance rates to anyone whose motorycle is registered in NY State.. send me a PM!
