Get ready for a bunch of opinions on seats. Seat comfort has been the most elusive thing about my bike. The loaner seat program isn't available for those of us with older bikes, so that's out.
I've been the Mean City dual density foam route. Better than stock, but not the all day comfort I was looking for. Bought a Hammock...like the seat but it moved me up an inch and back 2. Tried but couldn't get used to the new riding position and sold it to another forum member.
Ended up with an Airhawk "R" seat pad and love it. I throw it on the bike for rides longer than a couple hours and it fills the need nicely. Because I like the air concept, I'd be leaning toward a Road Zeppelin, but to be honest, I'm tired of this high priced game of trial and error so Airhawk it is (for now)!
Ive got a HD Sundowner seat on my 04 FLHT and love it...Another very nice seat but hard to find is the Road Glide seat.Very nice..Check e-bay for seats..
I have an 05 FLHTPI looking to upgrade from that couch of a seat I currently have.
Suggestions/Opinions.......Pictures would help also
Thank you
Same boat as you - I have an 09 FLHP and for me (vertically challenged) I need a 2 up Reach Seat, Sig Series, or Sundowner and want to do a full setup swap with someone. The Mustang is awfully nice but at 5'6" its not for me so I cast my net with this post in the trades section of the forums https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...s-seating.html
Buddy told me last week that Harley rents seats for $50, you ride for a time than bring the seat back. If you like the seat, they put the $50 towards the new seat of your choice. That would be my advice.
