I know this has probably been drove into the ground but its winter and been doing some upgrades looking at headers currently running stock I'd like to.have a true dual set up not a big fan of 2-1. I need to know two things if I change the.header do I need a tune and what's your opinion on good headers I have the old style se II slipons. I'd like to keep them if it wouldn't be that much of a performance loss
Will need more info on your bike but I believe if you change the headers you will need a tune. And if you do that, make sure you upgrade your air cleaner to. You will notice the difference.
I swapped from TDs to a 2-into-1, having had clearance problems with the TDs. I was amazed how much better the bike rides, with improved torque and also much smoother. However, I had both set-ups dyno tuned and I am now a convert! I would say yes, to get the best out of your bike do that.
