Dumb question,my pouches flutter and 'rattle at idle or at speed. I'm ready to take them off and sh--can 'em. I think they're after market. I see the Harley ones are made a little differently,do they shake around loosely too?
This is on a 06 Ultra with a 12" windshield, three pouches. Anybody have the two-pouch type?
I had the HD pouches on a 04. Apart from being ugly, as they vibrate they are scratching your windshield and the top of your faring where the bags touch these surfaces. Lot's of guys love em, but not me.
The issue for me with these pouches is the limited amount of space more than the rattling. I had the HD 3-pocket fairing bag and it wouldn't hold much more than a cell phone. The two other compartments wouldn't hold anything more than a ball point pen. It looked great, didn't rattle but was otherwise totally nonfunctional.
The Kury is great for space in a three compartments but it doesn't look that great. It's very bulky. It's definitely a function over form pouch and it does shake a bit due to the way it mounts. There's a metal bracket that attaches between the shield and fairing that it sits on an is velcro'd too.
FWIW- I did 2 things to stabilize my mine. I placed a couple of black, square, self-stick rubber furniture bumpers to the bottom plate of the pouches so they sit on the ledge of the inner fairing. I also put a small square of black velcro where the pouch corners contact the windshield. The velcro is not very noticible and it keeps the pouch from moving and around and marking larger areas of the windshield.
Live the 3 compartment pouches, but yes, they do rattle. Center one holds the iPhone. Right one the bike keys. Left one holds the garage door opener and LED remote. Works for me.
My HD one doesn't rattle at all. It doesn't touch the windshield either. But I have a recurved LRS so it has a different shape to it. I like it...hold what I need it to when I need it to. works for me.

I agree about the HD one having no space. The other thing that irritates me is dust and water getting between the bag and windshield. Only way to clean it is to remove the screws and loosen it.
