Default Removing Floorboard Inserts?

Does anyone know of a way to remove these without tearing the rubber boots. I want to take mine off before trading the bike and I want to re-use them. Thanks.

I just swapped my 13 year old factory floor boards for the chrome and rubber, if you are careful, and push from the bottom, work with a small flat blade screw driver you can work the rubber pieces back up through the floor board pan with no damage, use a little dish soap and a lot of patience.

Was dreading doing mine but was very easy. Dish soap and screwdriver. Don't use much pressure with the screwdriver. Went back together with no tools.

No big deal.
You could always WD-40 them too.

It's all about the soap, a large flat blade screwdriver and being gentle.

Yep, dish soap and use a piece of cloth over the screwdriver blade.
