I am about to do my front sliders (chrome), and presumably need to remove some part of my fairing, so I will need to remove my ignition. Who is the member that sells this TOOL?

Here is a video that will help you make the tool and remove the switch. Best video for switch removal I have seen. It is about 5 years old but nothing has changed.

if you look at the shaft of the switch you will see all the lugs tha stick out from the shaft
If you notice that they are of a differant size on each side of the shaft. Now take a long stright slot screw driver and line the slots in your switch with all the same size slots on the same side and the switch will drop right in

The craftsman flat screwdriver in your tool box will work just like the $20 tool.

Most people reach in there with a screwdriver, don't go deep enough, and fail to turn all of them, screwing up the alignment.

Yeah I've used the screw driver method however I think for $20. I like using the tool I can turn the front wheel and start my bike without worrying about aligning any cams up. I think 20 bucks is a small price for the tool that will make it much easier . If I didn't want to spend the money than I would at least make a tool to do the job.
