Default Engine Temperature Survey

I am curious as to what is the average oil temp on various bikes. For those who have Oil Temp Gauges, can you please indicate year and model bike and your average oil temp reading. In average ambient air temperature. I will go first.

I've got a pretty built up 95", never worried about heat til I got the gauge. Now I see the temp go up consistently especially on highway. It will hit 230-240. The weird thing is, it seems to cool off quickly. I can shut the bike off for 45 mins and it will go from 230-150 or less.. Not sure if that's normal..

'03 FLHTI, 88", stock w-factory oil cooler. Ambient temp 109, indicated 220. (109 reported by weather channel, 220 by oil temp gauge) That was extreme heat. Usually oil temp indicates 180-200. The cooler thermostat won't open until ambient reaches 75-80.

Engine temp and oil temp are two different temps and not very linear.
