Default Electrical question.

Is the harness HD sells for the aux. plug under the seat the best way to use that circuit or do you guys cut the plug off and solder whatever directly?

plug it in, there is not much wire left on the plug under the seat to cut off and not much room for soldering

I didn't want to cut my factory wiring, so I bought the harness you're talking about (it actually gives you two plugs if I recall correctly?) and spliced into that...

The four wires are (1) hot when key is on (2) hot when key is on and ACC switch is on (3) hot when key is on and brake is on and (4) ground.
