I've been looking at getting my first touring bike and saw a chrome yellow pearl, limited. I like it! A lot.

I have a question to someone who has ridden one.

With the light bright color yellow, does it reflect to the point that you get uncomfortable glare from the tank? Also it seems as though it won't show the dirt quite as much as the dark colors. I mean I've always had black and and am getting over that......I wonder if the color yellow has any comments to go with it that might either seal the deal or maybe I will just get chrome blue.

Get the blue, it keeps us unique.

 

thats a lot of money to spend,get the color you like,a lot of guys think there is only one color,and thats ............ Black

 

That is my biggest disappointment with the 2013 models is the colors.

 

i used to hate yellow. now, i think that my next bike (or paint job) is gonna be yellow. it has a way of growing on you, much like the road glide

 

Not any more than the sun reflects off the chrome console running right down the center of the tank. Personally, I haven't ridden a "light" color bike, but wouldn't believe reflection's an issue...plus you'll be wearing shades in sunny days as well...JMO.

 

Yellow is beautiful, but looks like crap when it is dirty, so if you are a daily rider who washes his bike once every two weeks, month, get black.

 

if it don't jump out at ya and you say damm I love that bike or color , keep looking , thats alot of money to wounder if you like it or worry what other people think so you must not be sold on it , good luck , I think blue is pretty

 

I don't think you should worry about what others think. I believe that was also a subtle part of your post. Get what you like. I am considering a smaller bike in addition to what I have and the yellow is high on the list. Smaller as in a basic dyna or softail as a cruiser. Frankly I think black bikes are boring and lack imagination. Then again, I am not influenced by what other people like.

 

No Problem with mine!

Truly if any glare, it's coming more from the tach and speedo when the sun hits it just right.

But as others have said, get the color that calls your name!
