Default Need Tires

I need to replace the tires on my Roadglide Ultra. Question is what brand to buy and where to buy them. Am going to be doing the work myself. Would like to try the radials but am just afraid to, not sure why but am. Will be looking at using the Dyana Beads. ideas?

TR do a search either on the menu bar above or on google and you will soon see a pattern to which tire everyone is going to.

I really don't think radials are recommended for Harleys. At least not for the Dunlop E3's for which I have experience. I'd do more research before going the radial route.

Here is another place besides Dennis Kirk and Jake Wilson I have gotten good deals on tires and such http://www.compacc.com/

Instead of the dyna beads I last went with a product called Ride On. https://www.ride-onshop.com/ If you watch the video and read the info you may be as impressed as I was. Suggestions for tires vary but the top talked about are Dunlop E III's and Michelin Commander II's. I ran the E III's last few years and liked them very well but just installed the MC II's along with the Ride On. So far love the setup.

lots of tire threads out there. Can tell you that I've heard/read that the Michelin Commanders seem to be getting significantly better life than some of the others. I'll be giving them a hard look when it's time.

I am guessing you mean the MC II's? I did not care for the Commander.

I've been rolling on Metzelers for a couple of years; I'm partial to the wide whitewalls much better look on the FLHR.
Overall they are a nice smooth ride and handle great. Much wider than the stock Dunlop so much better contact patch on the road without going wide to the point of having to mod anything. I get around 11K miles on the rear.
Been changing these by hand and using Dyna beads for balancing for years. Just bought my second front yesterday at JP Cycles in Ormond Beach, not many choices for mfg's with WWW's. I might give the Michelin a try if they had WWW.
