Looking for any advice on getting new tires for my 63 pan.I want to keep the old school look.BUT,the shops around here tell me no don't buy.Good years, coker retro tread design, shenko etc..They say they just don't handle as good as dunlop 402 or 404.Any ides would be great, thanks.
I used the shinko (formerly yokahama) back tires on my 64 they lasted 8-10k on mine and handle good. I ran the 402 prior and the bike alway felt like it was on its tippy toes and could never relax on a long ride
I got rid of my Avon tires because they were British, I like to buy American when possible, it seems to me an old purely AMERICAN Panhead deserves American made tires! That's why I went with Coker. JMO.
