mp3 cd

do we use audio cd's or data cd's when making mp3 cd? any one live near tulsa that knows how to make these disc's i would bw glad to pay. i have the songs listed.

I use Philips CD-R 700 mb disc. Nothing fancy.

You need to burn the disc as a data disc, not as an audio CD. If you 've ever burned data files of any type to a CD, just do the same thing with your mp3 files. If you try to burn the disc as an audio disc, the disc will play in any CD player but you can only put 10-15 songs on the disc.

If you need more detailed info, we'll need to know what program you're useing to burn the disc.

do a CD-R, your burner or burn progarm will give you a choice of data or audio, like others have said choose data you can get at least 100 songs---i have 120 songs on a CD.

You can use any cd to create the mp3 cd, just burn it as a data cd. I got over 180 songs on one. Only trouble is with songs purchased from I-tunes, they take longer to manipulate so I can use tham as mp3's

Audio cd's and data cd's are the same, the name is just a marketing tool. 1's and 0's are 1's and 0's, no matter what they represent. Just do yourself a favor, and pay the little bit extra for good quality cd's. (They can be found on sale in 50 or 100 disc spools on a regular basis)

stglideblk......You canuse any CD-R that you would like. However if you are burning a MP-3 disc you will burn a data disc and drop the files, in MP-3 format, in the burning software. The reason you only get 10-15 songs, as you say, on anaudio CD is because you are not burning a MP-3 disc but youare burning a .WAV filedisc whichare sound files not in the MP-3 format.
