Just bought a 2009 street glide with 6000 miles. Came with Bassani slip ons , stock air cleaner and stock EFI. I always thought that if you did one you had to do all three ( air cleaner, fuel , exhaust ). Do I need to complete stage one or can I just ride?. I have been told that the EFI will adjust as needed unlike carb's. What do you think?

 

With just the slip-ons and the stock air cleaner, you shouldn't have to use a tuner. Just ride. If you change to a free flowing air cleaner, you will likely have to use a tuner to richen up the mixture. These bikes run lean from the factory, and adding more air with a free flowing intake only makes the mixture that much leaner.

 

You are good to go as is but if you get a Stage 1 download and a Screaming Eagle air cleaner (or comparable ac) you will get a noticeable improvement in performance. Probably the best bang for the buck of any performance upgrade IMO.
