Batwing Vibration
Hello,
My 2008 FLHTP batwing as developed a vibration at idle. I've tried torquing all my fairing torque screws down with no success in correcting the vibration. To be honest, it may very well have been there all the this time. I purchased the bike last April and don't remember hearing a thing. I recently purchased a new helmet which allows me to hear more sounds than the older helmet did including my exhaust which sound completely different.
I don't know if this is a good thing as now I hear noises I've never heard before. Also, I recently noticed the two T-Screws at the bottom of the batwing were missing. I replaced them and that seems to be when the vibration started. I know that sounds strange.
The batwing mounts seem to be fine as all of them torque down well and there is no instability between the the wing and inner fairing. If anyone has had this problem and knows of a fix, I'd love to hear from you.

I fixed mine just a couple of weeks ago. The package for the parts are right in front of me still.

Your likely to only need the main upright bracket pieces. Your speaker brackets are an upgraded item already. $25.00+shipping will get your fairing quite and stable once again.

Makes sure bottom 3 rubber pieces that are supposed to be glued on didn't fall off. Happens all the time.

Thanks for all the input. I went outside and took the wing off. Twin Cam 96 diagnosed correctly. The left side top mount is cracked and will need to be repaired. I'm going to order the www.raganfabworks.com kit to make the repair. In the mean, I wrapped it up with good ole duct tap. That, a hammer and a seven iron fixes everything...Thanks again everyone who gave me input...
