Default smoother ride

I have a 2009 Ultra and recently removed the tour pak since I ride alone. I really like the street glide look but the Louisiana road bumps ake killing me. I guess the stock EGUC shocks are set up to ride double. Any suggestions?

check your air shock pressure, i run 20lbs when i am alone, and 35 lbs when i am 2up. that will help your ride

You are right Louisiana roads are bumpy.

What air are you running? Do you have a proper air pump?

The above posts are the answer. Last year my wife and I loaded the bike up and took a multi day trip. The bike was packed to the limit and I pumped up the shocks to compensate. When we got home I did not take all that air out. I rode it solo a couple days later and it felt like it was a hardtail. There was no give in the suspension at all with all that air in those shocks.

Welcome to the forum, prezflyr.

Good luck adjusting the air for a good ride in La unless you just ride on Hwy 10 now that they've resurfaced it.

I'm very close to buying Ohlin or JBL shocks from Motorcycle Metal. They have been reported to be the best for the rear suspension.

As previously posted, adjust the air up and down til, hopefully, you find the sweet spot-I never have.

Throw a police seat on your bike.

You need the right amount of pressure on those shocks. DO NOT USE A FUEL STATION PUMP.
