I hope you ride paying close attention to what's behind you. Lots of guys here are trying to find ways to put more light on the back of SG's that don't have tail lights.
As for bolting on some bulky metal license plate frame, if it floats your boat, go with it.

Yeah, they're plasma rods. Plenty bright enough during the day, just don't have any pics right now. I've been rear ended before and it ain't fun, but I'm confident enough in these. As far as the R/T/B module, I used the Kury one.
For the VTX question, here's a pic of the rear. It does'nt look like much but it was super bright. The third brake light on the curved Kury plate frame is a custom dynamics truflex.
