So there I was hanging out in Willliamsburg VA when my pops called and invited me to Easter Supper. I had nothing planned so I hopped in my car headed North to Johnstown PA. I got there alittle early and decided to stop by Zepka HD to kill some time. The manager Steve came out and asked the standard questions and left me to browse his inventory. I had ZERO intention of buying a bike, but since Steve said his piece and left me alone, I thought what the hell. I found Steve and said "lets do this" and he put me on a 13 Road Glide. Being unprepared to ride the bike even 10 feet let alone 320 miles, I asked if they could hold it and come back up the following weekend to get it.
The following Saturday, I trekked back up to PA to pick the bike up and spent more time with family before heading back to VA on the RG. Steve however; mentioned the first 1000 mile inspection was free of charge so the very next Sat and 750 miles later, I was off once again to PA to have the bike's 1000 service. Although the ride home this time was in 32 degree temp for 60 percent of the ride, I absolutley love this bike and it has more than filled the gap in my heart after selling my night train!
Lucky you. That's a great feeling isn't it, riding a brand new bike home. It warms you all over, and the outside temperature doesn't really seem to matter. Enjoy.
And that's why I never go to a dealer for anything. A darn money trap. Those new bikes have a way of snagging you even if you don't need one. Traps traps traps!
