Waving
I figure if you have your knees in the breeze then you rate a wave, irregardless of what kind of ride you are on.
Well okay...I don't wave at people on scooters...and someone on a bicycle...not a chance. In certain parts of north Georgia, the friggin bicyclists are more dangerous than the cars.

I think I spend most of the day waving. I'm a mailman. So we wave to other delivery drivers.. I also get waves in my corvette. I say. Wave if you can, nod if you can't. And flip off the scooter boys.
Sometimes I wave, sometimes I don't. Sportbikers don't wave to me much. I try to wave when it's safe just out of courtesy and love for anything two wheels. But go to a big rally like Sturgis, or Daytona. No one waves there. When there's thousands and thousands of bikes going by you, it's kinda impossible and impractical to do that.
I stopped to get a road map out. Within minutes I had two old school Harley riders stop and ask me if I was okay. The second guy rode past and turned around to offer help. Pretty cool, but embarrassing as my only issue was I did not know where the hell I was. He at least pointed me in the right direction.
Hey FL-KRUZN, I sure do remember the raised fist, bent elbow sign we gave back in the 60's. Was just thinking about that the other day while out riding. I was trying to remember when it changed to the hand down sign everyone (including myself) uses now. Thanks for confirming my memory, and proving that I'm not just plain nuts. LOL
