I'm a friendly guy and I like seeing brothers on their rides so I enjoying waving and waving back most of the time, but sometimes when I am around town and I go 1 mile and have 4 separate bikers waving, sometimes I just want to ride and not focus on missing a wave and appearing rude.
Not trying to break a friendly tradition by any means, today way out in the boonies I loved when I saw a fellow biker that shared a wave but around town sometimes its just too much lol. Am I thinking like an *******?
To the Harley Riders i give the full five finger wave...
To all others they get the single middle finger salute!! :-)
Seriously though i only wave on days that end in "Y"....
I usually wave, but keep my palm on the grip. Hard to see probably. I don't wave if I'm dicking with the clutch coming to a light. I don't wave on the 4 line highway.
I'm a new Harley owner and today was the first warm sunny day of the 2013 season so I had to get my bike out. Because I learned a long time ago that most cycle accidents occur because the cars don't see us, I wear neon jacket and helmet. Today I noticed that a few Harley riders didn't wave but all the non Harley riders did. I wondered if my attire was the issue. I wondered if Harley riders just assume that if you don't wear black that you can't be riding a Harley. Harley riders from my experience tend to not acknowledge non Harley riders.

I wouldn't think too much about it. There's a lot of riders in Florida and on a nice day, that's a hell of a lot of waiving. I'm sure some people just get tired of it.
Wave...wave...do you wear fingerless gloves? Enough already! I drive a para transit bus as a volunteer and I have found that bus drivers, like motorcycle riders wave too. Those who don't probably ride Harleys...Oh well, let's see where this thread goes. And by the way, I wave too on the bike.
