I disagree that you should have bought a smaller bike. It is easier to learn on a smaller bike but reality is that a couple months later, you would still want the street glide. I think it is fine to learn on the street glide. Freind of mine is learning on his new Ultra Limited. He is doing great and just did a 250 mile ride this weekend. Parking lot practice will help. The key is to learn to turn your head and LOOK where you want to end up and the bike will go there. In a 90* turn, look at the destination point, not at the ground directly in front of you.
