2008 Eltra Glide Classic oil pressure
#2
the o/p is limited to under about 35 psi, by a relief valve in the system.
at idle I usually see 5 to 7 psi when warm- that is with an idle speed of about 1000 rpms- o/p and volume is directly proportionate to rpms.
which is why out bikes seem to idle so high ( compared to classic machines) to keep oiling up as oil is part of the cooling system, removing heat from the hottest parts of the motor
the o/p reading will vary greatly on how warm is warm...or is it hot...
and o/p reading is directly affected by grade/viscosity of oil.
if you see a sudden change- that is reason for investigation-
