mine was stolen last year i had receipts for alot of the extras and a picture all they have me over the book value was 1500 because that's what my policy was i was told by my original retired agent that if i had all the receipts all would be covered but that wasnt true you have to have that kind of policy and its not real cheap especially with a couple of speeding tickets a hail damage claim on the car and a stolen bike all in 2 months
I have about $3K in extra's coverage with Liberty Mutual and its adds $93/year to the policy. What I'm not sure of is if its stolen are they going to give blue book plus $3k or am I going to have to fight with them, provide receipts (which I don't have), to get any additional.
If its wrecked the carcass is there to prove they were on the bike so I assume that won't be too much of a problem to get extra funds.
i have my bike insured for Bike Value + 30k in add ons........ $960 a year. That's the most I could insure it for. and they sent someone over for free to take pictures.
but I have a 4" 3 ring binder of receipts and instructions for all the add ons. so that will help
