I know this gets talked to death but I still can't decide which way to go for pipes on my '07 FLHTC. I want a power boost (will also go with different intake and recalibration)but I don't want them brain-pounding loud.
Can you folksplease tell me in just one or two lines what pipes you're running on yourbagger?
Stock exhaust?
Stock head pipes & performance mufflers? What brand?
"True duals?" Brand?
2into1 ? Brand?
Well lowriderFXRS, I have a 2007 FLHRS. Back in December I installed the Screaminâ Eagle Street Performance mufflers which sound a lot better than the stock ones for sure.
I also installed the SE Stage I air filter system but the weather has not fully cooperated for me totest the performance and comment. I must admit that I was watching the groundhog thing pretty closely a few days ago!
The Torque and HP gains HD advertises were about all I wanted anyway and mainly I just wanted the engine to breathe better.
I recently called a dealer for reprogramming the ECU (for adding the SE Stage I) and I was told that they had not seen anything from HD stating thatreprogramming the ECU is even necessary for the 2007 models when the Stage I air filter system is installed. Seemed strange to me but I havenât had the time to research that yet.
Maybe someone here in the forum can comment abouttheir 07 model with the Stage I air filter system?
My wife's 2007 Road Glide is in the shop having heads polished and ported, 211 Cams, cylinders bore to 103 CU IN, and D & D 2 into 1 with ghost pipe, SERT plus about $6K worth of goodies. I rode the dealers demo bike done the same way. At 2200 RPM in 5th it breathes so well that when passing at 70 MPH you think your on a Hayabusa.
