Ouch
Holy Crap!!! How can you miss a friken school bus? So now take that and divide the size down by a million and you have us on a motorcycle.

Any how, I'm glad that the rider survived and can ride another day.
The best lesson ever tought to me by my S.O. instructor...RIDE LIKE 50 % OF THE CAGERS ON THE ROAD CAN'T SEE YOU, AND THE OTHER 50% HAVE A BULLSEYE PAINTED ON YOU.
I've been there, done that, and have the rods and screws to bare witness.
Be careful out there folks and we'll all meet agian with burned thighs and a messy ....do.
I don't know,I always thought............. "I didn't see the bike"
............ sure sounds betterto the cager when justifingthe truth.
"I saw the bike, misjudged the speed and distance and pulled in front of it, anyways"
I can't count how many times that has happened to me. I keep a wary eye out for em and have avoided trouble so far. Barley missed a Suburban on the freeway one time when they decided to pull into the diamond lane with out looking. I swerved around and indicated that I thought he was #1 in my book. Any time I have to take the cage I do my best to make sure that when I have a bike in front of me I give them the room they need but keep others from getting between us.
Two years ago 4 people pulled out in front of me. After I painted, only one person (SUV ran a stop sign while on the phone. I saw it coming).
Maybe I'm just getting better at spotting the ones that don't see me, (If I havn't make eye contact, then I assume they haven't seen me) or it's because they see the glint of blue and imeadiatly go on their best behavior.
Warning: if you do decide to spray the windshild make sure you mask everything on both sides that you don't want paint on. The static of the plastic will suck the paint from 5 miles away.
