Would you ever?
1.It was free. My buddy sold his bike several months ago and is moving back to the Mainland next week.
2.I ride pretty much every day and I can uncover or cover the bike in 2 seconds.
3.My carport faces the ocean a few houses away and it can get pretty windy. The Shell is rated to 50 mph.
4.Thieves passing by can't see my bike and I can still use my cable lock and battery tender.
5.No electricity or noise.
6.The cover can be replaced for bout $100.
That bubble would probably be great if I had a fully enclosed garage and didn't ride nearly every day year round.

Like others said if your smart it shouldnt be a issue.
That said if I was in a situation I needed to wash at a carwash alot this is what I would do.
Presoak soap which is low pressure. Carry a mit with me to then scrup it down. Then spot free rinse which is low pressure.

I have a 1/4 mi gravel driveway and my bike is always dusty or muddy, depending on if it rains or not.
If it's just dusty I hose it down with the garden hose and blow it dry with my leaf blower.
I used my pressure washer once but like DAVDENRINO said, it's a lot easier with just the hose since I have to have it to run the pressure washer anyway.
Anything other than dust and out comes the wash bucket and mitt.

I have been riding over 30 years and pressure washing on and off the whole time on several makes and models of cycles without issue.
Use the presoak which is low pressure.
For high pressure, stay back at least a foot around any electrical or at any area that has gaskets like where mating surfaces come together.
I only get up close for windshield or chrome bug removal.
I now use a leaf blower and it works great if the bike is waxed.
Sill though for a deep clean a hand wash is best.

No pressure washing for me. Hand washed and blown dry with a leaf blower.
I guess if I was on a long road trip and it got grimey, I'd use it......but I'd be very careful and it would be no up close blasting.
